It was in 1995 that Alexandre Birman, the son of Anderson Birman, the founder of Arezzo, at only 18 years old, created Schutz, initially an outdoor sports shoes brand. Schutz means „protection“ in German.
In 2007, Schutz and Arezzo join toghether at AREZZO & CO group. From there, a strong branding work has been developed for Schutz. In 2011 the first international Schutz store was opened in New York and in 2016 the brand strengthens ist position with the opening of a flagship store in Los Angeles.
